clare e. potter is a writer, performer and educator from Cefn Fforest. She spent ten years living in the USA's Deep South, where she completed an MA in Afro-Caribbean literature. In 2004, clare won the John Tripp Award for Spoken Poetry. She has read at the Smithsonian Folklife Festival, and was a Hay Festival Writer at Work in 2016 and 2017.
clare has received various commissions to write poetry in collaboration with artists. She is currently the Landmark Trust's poet-in-residence at Llwyn Celyn, a medieval hall house in the Black Mountains. Her debut poetry collection, Spilling Histories, was published by Cinnamon Press in 2006. She is currently working on a second collection. |
